About Me
Michael Schiferl, LCMFT
Hey guys, my name is Michael. I help men struggling with trauma and anxiety overcome their symptoms to become better husbands, fathers, and men of God.
I know how difficult these issues can be, so I’m glad you’re considering getting help. My goal is to offer a comfortable space for you to confront and overcome your fears. Our work may be challenging at times, but I’ll be with you every step of the way.
I use several types of therapy to help my clients. The primary treatments I utilize are eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. You can read more about these therapies by clicking here.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, being outdoors, and rock climbing. I’ve traveled to four continents and hope to make it five someday soon. I’m married to my best friend Alyssa and will never get over how lucky I am to call her my wife.
I’m a Christian and find benefit in combining faith with therapy. Let me know if you want faith to be part of your treatment plan.
