I charge $150 per 50-minute session. Session rates are the same for in person or virtual appointments. I also accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna insurance. I can provide you with a superbill for possible reimbursement from other insurance companies. I charge a prorated fee for sessions that last 15 minutes longer than scheduled.

During the first few sessions, I’ll ask questions to get to know you better and will spend time learning about your story. We’ll collaborate to make goals and discuss which treatment options will work best for you. Then, we’ll begin working toward accomplishing your goals. I ask that you commit to attending weekly sessions to ensure you’re making the most progress possible.

I offer video therapy through Simple Practice, a secure web-based platform. All you need is a computer or phone with a camera and microphone, as well as a good internet connection and private space to do therapy. State law also requires that you are in Kansas or Missouri at the time of your session.

It is important that you make every effort to attend each session so you can accomplish your goals. When you schedule a session, you are guaranteed an hour of my time. As such, I ask that you give me at least 24 hours advance notice if you will not be able to attend your session so that I can plan accordingly. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours advance notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of the full session rate.
If you cancel a session, you are welcome to reschedule it for the same week per my availability at no additional charge. Sessions that are unable to be rescheduled will be subject to the full session rate.

Everything you say will stay between you and me. However, there are instances when I am legally required to break confidentiality. Some instances include child abuse and neglect, plans to harm yourself, or plans to hurt someone else. We’ll talk more about confidentiality in your first session.
